IMHO, the variable that needs to be changed is the powder. Go with a slower powder and better case fill. As already stated, RE-15, or maybe: IMR 4064, BL-C(2), CFE223.

What’s wrong with 1,000 yds? These loads where making headshots at 850 on man size silhouettes.

Change the powder and brass and I’m thinking 1,000 will easily be in the picture. Also got some 77gr SMKs delivered today too.

Looks like you need to be going 2900-2950 fps to stay above the speed of sound at 1000yards.
