So what I'm reading is...., a person could just file a form 1 for every firearm they own for free making them sbrs and then just do whatever? The brace isn't registered, just the gun so you don't even have to have braces for free sbrs?

Looks like just about every braced gun is now a sbr. Supposedly they are registering them without the $200 tax stamp. It's ****ty, very ****ty, but atleast there are options other than surrender. Is it to soon to post up a buying short guns ad?

Yes. You can still use the brace if you choose. I wish I had 100 lowers. I'd form 1 every one of them just for spite.

There’s a BUNCH of regulations already in place against (restricting) SBRs.
Those ****ers are going to get sued into oblivion. The bump stock ruling that just happened will slap their PP’s real hard.

I've seen a few on sale lately, a real unscrupulous individual could simply "make" a bunch of firearms and submit serial numbers and then take said serial numbers form 1. Just to have future sbrs I guess. Not sure atf thought this out.
The problem with the dip****s is they want pictures of your SBR before you are approved.
Which means you have already committed a felony, by admission on paper, and admitted by you...signed by you (in their eyes, not the eyes of the law). This isn't just a registry it's entrapment as well.
