Using Ballistol to clean and lube guns..

Totally unscientific, but I have guns I haven't shot in a couple years that the last thing I did when I laid 'em up was to just run a patch with Ballistol through them. Checking them over, the barrels are still bright and shiny, so maybe it's better as an 'oil' than I thought.

It certainly ain't Cosmolene though. I wouldn't trust it beyond a couple years.

Ballistol tastes horrible.

kroil certainly tastes better, careful what kind of lube you use it for

I keep ballistol and kroil on the shelf, we use kroil regularly

Brake cleaner and CLP. Some Hoppes #9 and Montana X.

Ultrasonic clean if I've been lazy or th3 wife wants her jewelry shining first. Lol
