Vinyl siding replacement

With all these threads about prices to build new homes, remodel , update closets, window replacements, move to what area etc.,
Got me thinking, it's time to replace my vinyl siding and give the house an exterior refresh.
I know flooring and other builds but not been keeping up with what's out there in the way of some of the more modern vinyl siding options and pricing.
Anyone had this done recently and share the dos and don't as well as reputable companies ?

If you end up needing exterior painting, I do recommend Dixon Painting out of Marietta. They did solid work, came in at the middle priced quote and did quite a bit of siding, facia, soffit replacements as well as full exterior paint.

Did my house several years back. Replaced windows, doors and over hang at same time easy job just takes some time. Go to abc supply and look at what they have. Order windows and doors at homedepot or Lowe’s. Plan on about 4 weeks if you do it yourself.
