VZ 2008 Problems

What is the fix for these? I ask, because Atlantic is now offering a new batch of VZ2008 Century builds. Just wondering if it's worth buying.... Price has more than doubled since they were offered several years ago!
You can buy a tabbed bolt carrier or have it tabbed by someone who tig welds. I was told the newer ones come without the gremlin issue but I was told by the previous owner that mine is a newer one and it does have it.
I have had a few, still have one. As I recall bought from PSA for $399 shipped
