What are the point of dreams?

My dream examples; I'm tied to a chair and someone is pealing the flesh from my foot, I break free and grab the nearest sharp object which is a gutter nail and shove it through his throat and out through his spine.

Another example; I'm walking through a building full of degenerate perverts and child molesters. I'm disgusted by what I've seen. I get to the door and in a strange voice I say "rise my children". To which the dead start rising from the ground and running past me slaughtering everyone in their wake. I smile and walk on.

My wife says I kill, steal, and pillage in my dreams. She said she can’t remember how many times I have screamed in my sleep “MFer I am going to kill you” or other obscenities and violent things. She said it scares her sometimes. Yes, I have been diagnosed with PTSD. No, I don’t take meds.

Yea , I have realized that I was dreaming in a dream quite a few times , even choosing how the dream went ( in a strange way ) . That has occurred only a few times in life that I recall .

The ones that get me are when you wake up paralyzed with a black shadow standing over you. That really pisses me off. I've shouted out loud I'm going to kill you you son of a bitch more than a few times.

I always dream I didn't finish school or I am still in school. Another frequent one is I have to walk from around the hospital downtown to my old home in Milford Chase subdivision between Austell Rd. and Powder Springs Rd. It used to be a real nice place back in 89 to late 90's.

For some reason those seem to be the focus of my haunts. The school one is like I am in my last year of school and just not passing any of my subjects. 🤣 Why, I do not know! As for the walking home dream, it's that the shortest route home is always in low income housing and projects areas. Their is always this one volatile kid with a gun I have to get by. Where that one comes from has me baffled. Must be the TV doing that one. It's the same punk in every dream too. The character never changes.

Last night I dreamed I was shooting at a deer and killed a old man on a train. 🤣 After they realized the man was dead a woman said she saw me shoot him. She and the police chasing me all the way home with me one step ahead but they were never far behind. Another doozy!

So don't feel like The Lone Ranger bro! I am right their with ya! 🤣

I'd say , 70% of my dreams take place when I was age 17 -30 , 54 now.

I did quit school my 2ed year of 9th grade at Sprayberry High in N Cobb , Wish I had gone to Lassitter instead .

Got GED in 1991 tho .

Yep, I'm never an old fat fart in my dreams. But I still have no problem taking care of business.

Come to think of it I don't believe I've had that experience since Jesus literally knocked on my door about 12 years ago.

I could write a book similar to Dante's Inferno. My personal journey through hell.

I'm 25% Cherokee & do not recall ever owning one .
