What cigar have you been smoking lately?

Anyone try anything from a new company called Liberty Cigar Company? Just heard them on the Armed American Radio podcast. They do very cool label bands of historical Presidents and generals from the past. Just not sure if the cigar itself is any good. Cool idea though looking through there webpage...

Peat generally manifests as iodine-bandaid aromas, but in a good way. Like I said, it’s not for everyone. It’s possible to get a smoky scotch without peat but they usually go together. It comes from the tradition of using available natural resources to dry the grain for distilling.

There were no trees in Scotland because the English cut them all down for wars. So, they Scots dug up the peat bogs, dried it and burned it for the fires. It’s made of decomposing vegetation.
Have to admit, that's what's always turned me off about Scotch. The blended are tasteless and the ones with character smell like the cakes they put in urinals to me.

Lately I've been getting away from Bourbons too, and more into Ryes. Less sweet and a bit more bite than Bourbon, and there's starting to be some good selections out there.

I order my cigars from Cigars International.

Really diggin' the CI bucks they have started using. The CI bucks are a credit against future purchases. Like a gift card.

This is on the way.

I understand CI is expanding brick and mortar stores and building one near Chattanooga. Not close, but may make the trip when it opens.

My best bud uses cigarbid. Haven't ventured over that way yet to check them out.

I'm personally a huge fan of almost all Perdomo cigars. They can usually be found on sale too, depending on the website. They usually burn and smoke well too. My special occasion cigars are some of the My Fathers "La Opulencia", and "The Judge," a bit more pricey, but a fantastic smoke.

Never cared much for Perdomo (other than the occasional Champagne with a cup of coffee in the morning), they always smoke well (their quality control is phenomenal) but it's pretty difficult to find a 'good' full-bodied one. I couldn't agree more on the MY FATHER cigars, the La Bijou is a great smoke and the Judge is a great full-bodied smoke. If you like the Judge, you may also enjoy the AVO NORTH, full-bodied with great flavor!
