What Do You Clean Your Knives With

So I'm not very well versed in the world of knives. My wife bought me a Ken Onion CRKT knife for my b-day this past weekend, which I love and it got me to wondering what people tend to use to clean the blades up. It's nothing incredibly special like some of those $200 knives out there, but I like it a lot. It has a pretty nice finish on the blade and I wouldn't want to put something on there that will ruin the finish on it. Just curious what would be a good solution to clean knife blades up with.

I use the blood of my enemies.

If I am.out of that I use hot, soapy water and then a few drops of Hoppes.
I mainly have Kershaws. No high end stuff.

alcohol on a q tip. then i only use vegetable oil.

I've frog lubed some and all others get the Rem oil treatment. Doesn't take much.

Aight good stuff. I just didn't want to use something that I shouldn't. Sounds like gun oils and alcohol will be just fine to use. Got plenty of all that. Thanks guys.

Bear, does the veg oil ever become rancid or sticky? I use mine in the kitchen also and may want to try it.

same. sometimes i use a dry film lube (white lightning's Clean ride) for the 1095 steel stuff.
