What Do You Clean Your Knives With

Clean with soap and water, and follow with a very light coating of veg. oil to keep the blade from rusting (Pam cooking spray seems to work well). Doesn't seem to leave behind any kind of residue and is food safe so its a win win for me.

Isn't frog lube food safe?

Awesome, thanks! And I believe frog lube is food safe. Apparently you can straight eat the stuff and be okay. Although whether or not your stomach likes it is to be determined.

Dawn, with bleach alternative. :)
I have started using silicone oil as a lubricant to keep my wife off my back.
She used to nag me continuously about using machine oil since I use it to eat stuff all the time.

Personally, I don't think it matters what you use as long as you keep it clean.

Aside from the recommendations here, I will use Puma Polish on mine to polish them up. If they have brass bolsters or some other metal that tarnishes, the Puma Polish will make quick work on it and leaves a protected coating that slows tarnish.
