My youngest son was there in 2008, he's got pics of some big ass holes in those concrete hangars and some of himself on top of one. Has some pics of the mess hall burning down after getting hit with mortars, he used to have some videos of rockets & mortars being shot outta the sky at night. Also some videos of insurgents getting blown to bits by 500 lb JDAM's while trying plant IED's, bombs that he loaded onto F-16's. I'll get a pic or two loaded later of the t-shirts he brought me back from "Motaritaville" lol!A chunk of metal that was totally liquified when a bunker buster hit a certain facility in What became joint base Balad.
