First thing will be wishes that:

My Wife is over her Pneumonia
My Daughter is over her Double Ear Infections
My Daughter gets her Cast off from where she broke her arm on Thanksgiving Day

Then- a new XD would be nice, but only the first three are likely to come true- (Thank God!!!):)

A nice piece of land to enjoy my toys in peace on. Sanity to find it's way back into our society. For all of you to get what you and your families need, Merry Christmas! Chuckdog.

Theres a soldier that I work with who has not mother and his father's health has been steadily declining in the past year that he takes care of. This soldier has been to Iraq once and has had a rough year. He has had 3 spinal surgeries in the last year due to falling off a MRAP in Iraq, had kidney stones a few months a go, and the dr's found pre cancer cells in his throat after he was takin to the hospital due to an ulcer. This soldier lives on next to nothing every month, his father has no insurance and almost all of his money go to his father to keep the lights and heat on and the debt collectors off his back. I aksed him what he was going to do for Xmas and he said he was going home and I asked him what he thought Santa was bringing him and he said no one gets him anything because he pays for his family. This was after he came home for Thanksgiving with my wife and I because his grandmother died a week before and that took away his Thanksgiving money he had saved to go home. The tiny army base Ft McPherson doesn't have a dining facility like a regular army post. I asked what he was doing for Thanksgiving and he said he was gonna eat some vienna sausages. The more I talk about him it makes me want to cry, he's only 21 and said he hasn't gotten anything for Xmas in over 5 years. My wife and I and my wife's parents got him some gifts. I can't wait to see his face when he opens them.

I feel really blessed after reading some of this....just puts things in perspective for me to see how fortunate you can be sometimes. Hope all your cancers and whatnot get healed, keep praying.

Reading this thread brings tears to my eyes for how fortunate this season has turned out for me. Were there some sticky times yes but nothing compared to others in this thread. I pray for Bear, Jeep, Tazz, XD, Chosin, and any one I left out for the Christmas spirit to smile on them this year. May St. Nicholas and the Lord smile on all of us this year.
