Had a girl shooting beside me at a gun store / range. I thought she was doing a lot of dry fires. Then she ask me to help her see why her gun was not shooting. I checked for a live round and dropped the mag and discovered she had the ammo in backward. She said it was much easier to load that way than the other way.
Lately the stupidest thing I have seen - and it happens most every time I step into a shop - is the customer who dominates the employee's time by rattling on about the current political climate and prospects of a gun ban. It's both sad and comical to watch store employees attempt to extract themselves from the situation.
There are some stores where the employees do that themselves. I won't mention any names especially since one might be a sponsor.
Then there's always this guy:
