I plan to keep my first gun a single-shot .410 shotgun that I got as a teenager. I plan for it to stay in the family once I pass on. Also, another keeper is my first handgun a S&W Model 10. I bought the .38 Special brand new from a hardware store in Montgomery, Alabama. I still have the box, papers and the sales receipt that came with the gun. At one point, I did sell it to a family friend when I was experiencing a period of extended unemployment. I needed the cash more than the gun. I later bought it back and it now has a honored place in my safe.

By the time my Delta Elite is done, I'm gonna have close to $2500 in it. That one's sticking with me for the long haul. That's what we call an "inheritance gun". :D

This one would be hard to part with.

Probably only because I overpaid to begin with.

Ta-dum-tsch!

I have a Smith and Wesson breaktop/lemonsqueeze 38 short that has pearl grips. The gun was my grandfather's.
He was the Warden of the Prison just outside Monticello in Jasper County for many years and it was his carry pistol.
Damn thing is so worn down it reads... " th and Wesson".

The gun will remain in my family forever.
