I have been reading about everyone complaining / suggesting that prices are out of whack. i think it is time for the group as a whole to determine what we feel should be the asking price that is "fair". I realize deals come down to buyer and seller, but I am interested in what the consenus price is:

I haven't bought any in some time but wasn't I seeing value packs for around 15 bucks right before the tin foil hat wearing paranoid schizophrenics stormed all the walmarts?

Last time I actually bought any 22 value packs, it was $22/550 or $17/325 for Federal Champion and AutoMatch, respectively. So as far as I'm concerned, anything over 5¢/round is outright highway robbery. If you're asking 10¢/round or more, you can just suck a ding dong.

I'm pretty sure there were Remington and Winchester ...probably Federal too...in those milk carton like boxes at Walmart for 14-15 bucks for 500 or 555 or whatever....certainly not this 40 bucks crap ...Hell, I live in the woods and can make all the racket I want to so I don't shoot much .22. I prefer some recoil and need for ear plugs..and I have plenty of .22. Probably more than I'll ever use in what's left of my life but for some reason it pisses me off that it's not readily available

That's about how i feel also.

Just found a 500 pack of thunderbolts for $25 and sold it to another member who needed it more than me for exactly $25. He said he had not seen any in a long time.

the 555 pack I got a Wally World a month ago I think was $24.00. I have one 525 brick I got last year it has a price tag same store $16.99

I just ordered a box of Remington Golden Bullet (525 brick) from Cabela's - $23. Not bad. I agree - 4 or 5 cents a round is fair.
