What kind of snake is this?

ill say it one more time. i dont know **** about snakes. wouldnt of touched the thing if i knew it was not venomous. going forward i will bring any snake i see milk and cookies.
It can be frustrating sometimes. I do educational presentations for children 2 or 3 times a year teaching about animals (mostly insects and arachnids) and it is really disheartening to hear some of the comments parents to say to their kids regarding animals.

I dont blame you or have any animosity towards you, but I do hope you read up on native snakes for the future.

Here's a big female timber rattlesnake and a small adult male southern copperhead I've found while hiking outside Savannah

She was calm and an awesome animal. We took her because she was near some picnicking families. I had her for a few months until I donated her to a breeding program at the San Edisto Serpentarium. This pic really shows her size well.
