What rifle you using this year?

CVA Hunter 44mag w/Nikon Pro-Staff 5 3-9 Hornady 240gr XTP
CVA Apex w/243 Win barrel Nikon Monarch UCC 3-9 Fusion 95gr
CVA Hunter 223 w/Vortex Crossfire II 2-7
Fusion 62gr
CVA Scout V2 243 Win Vortex Dback 2-7
Fusion 95gr
CVA Apex w/308 barrel Nikon Prostaff 5 3-9 Federal Premiun 165gr SGK

The 44mag is on deck first. As soon as it spills blood the scope is being pulled and put back on the .308, The 44mag barrel will be cut and threaded at 18".
The .223 is my kid/doe rifle. The .308 Apex and .243 Scout V2 are last in rotation as they are veterans of the deer woods. And If I get my bonus from corporate in time I plan on picking up a Scout V2 pistol in .243 or 44mag or another Scout V2 rifle in .35 Whelen. Anyway I got to get to bed. It is late and I have a whole lot of killing to get done starting early in the morning.
I wish you good luck out there this morning, couldn't go cause of work. I am curious to those of you that do hunt with .223 what round you use and what shot placement. I keep debating on taking out my AR on bad weather days. Right now I just run Winchester 55gr soft points and it shoots really accurate, but I have never shot a deer with it.

Fusion 62gr. Shoot em in the same spot as any other round with the exception of the Texas Heart Shot.

Normally use the 336 in .35rem on opening morning as part of my superstition but I decided to change it up this season with a mid 70’s 700 in .308 topped with a vx2

she'll be pushing an Amax with 44 gr of varget...bad medicine

Savage 110 in .243 with a Simmons 3x9 for the fields. Marlin 336 in 30-30 with iron sights for the woods. If I had to have only one, the Marlin would be it though. I love that thing

Shoulder problems persist, I will be taking a long hard look at the 243, 6.5 Grendel, 44 magnum, 35Rem and 7-08. Will depend on where I hunt, any of this will be relatively easy on me though and get the job done.

Just back from camp and to tired to unload the Ranger and gear..I saw One, #1 squirrel in two hunts, but I did have a cool thing happen other then making it up the stairs..I set my 300 Blackout inside my shooting shack on the shooting rest..Along comes a sparrow 2 feet from the opening and land on my suppressor..After maybe 3 seconds I said Howdy! Needless to say he left, Great to be in the woods non the less!
