My Wife wanted the acceleration to get into traffic. Still does well. That's why I call it a skate board. Zips around all over town. I have a friend who's sister got 450K on a 4cyl manual. The head gasket started leaking and she traded it in. I think I'd considered fixing it being what's available today. Both cars are 2000 models.Back in 2011ish we wound up with my Mom's old 04 LE model. It had around 220K when we got it. When it finally gave up it showed almost 330K . And honestly if I'd stayed on top of the oil changes and basic maintenance better it might still be running.
Out of the half dozen Camrys Mom has owned only one was a V6. I still remember my stepfather saying "The V6 ain't good for nothing but gettin' your Mama speeding tickets and drinking more gas."
On top of that I tend to shy away from front drive V6 cars due to maintenance and repair costs. Not saying anything bad about the Toyota V6. It has long since proven itself.
Before this car, she drove the old Chevy Impala, Crown Vic and Marquise. She'd only get 100k miles on them
