I made curry black beans and rice trying to expand my food storage recipes.
With a glazed porkchop and some pepper sauce on the rice it was pretty tasty.
was gonna do em on the grill but hard the get charcoal going in a sleet storm... Did them under the broler
Try replacing the rice with Quinoa some time. Better flavor plain and damn good for ya. Yes more expensive but worth the try.
Googled....do you cook it the same as rice/risotto/cous cous.
I have been cooking a lot with cous cous and really enjoy the flavor over rice but buying a 50lb bag will set you back well over $100.
