What was your 'dead unicorn'?

I used to think that 1911 would be a good EDC. After many thousands of dollars of gunsmithing different ammo and different makes it became blatantly apparent that the modern day firearms are just more reliable. That is what I should have looked at first the qualities I want from a gun not some sentimental bs.

That's surprising. I have yet to have any issues with the 1911s I've owned. Not for everybody though. I was expecting you to say Kimber lol.
