What was your 'dead unicorn'?

Desert Eagle Pistol-big fancy pistol with Hollywood hype, not very useable.
KSG-Got one, shot it, liked it, but could never trust my life to a KelTec so I sold it.

HK UMP45 - The full auto version. I love this gun, love it. So well engineered. Shot one that a friend of mine has who owns a range and has a class 3 license who has it as a "demo". It is by far the sweetest shooting auto sub gun I have shot. Can put a 33 round magazine in a 6 inch circle at 25 yards. It died because I learned I can never have one. They were never made before the ban. Dern NFA. I can dream...........

Colt wheel guns.

Not saying they're bad guns, just not worth the price people are asking for them. I'll take a Smith or 3 for the price of one with a pony. Little ponies are for little girls.

With all the hype around new guns and the sometimes completely illogical actions taken in acquiring them, what is that one you just HAD TO have. Then for whatever reason you never got and then just got over it?
For me it was a Judge. When first introduced I absolutely convinced myself I had to have one of those. Came up with all sorts of scenarios where they were just the perfect answer (none of which seem defensible anymore). Never got around to it (initially the availability was very difficult) and now, they are a complete 'meh' to me.

Yours?

Smith & Wesson Governor...Bought one, shot it, thought "Meh", off it went... :( ....mikey357
