What's going on the smoker/grill today?

First time ever using an electric smoker. Feels like cheating. Past the stall, should be ready for lunch. :hungry:

It isn't cheating. I used electric for years. Any pangs of guilt were quickly gone when I effortlessly removed the bone from a pork butt and it pulled apart in my hands.

I guess what I learned is you need to keep replacing the wood chips. I soaked them and filled up the hopper but realized about 3/4 of the way through the cook that they were all gone and burned out. note to self next time refill Hopper throughout cook.

From what I've read, the meat only absorbs the smoke the first few hours. I would load the hopper 2-3 times and then just let it run and the bbq would always turn out perfect. I started using wood pellets instead of chips. Good smoke and you don't need to soak them. I used applewood pellets and had great results with pulled pork as well as my homemade ham and bacon.

I wasn't planning on it, but I found a package of hotdogs in the frig. So I had grilled dogs for lunch. Ole lady usually participates on this. Eatin that is........
