What's your favorite hog hunting weapon?

It comes down to what I feel best about using when hunting them.

Recurve bow! Heck yeah! I’ve been wanting to get one with my recurve for quite a while now.

Guess my choice is mostly limited to my hunting area, I hunt primarily public land and thus most of my hog hunting time is during small game season. Therefore, my weapon of choice is my .17HMR, I was extremely skeptical when I was first told that a .17 would do it, but I have taken down a few with it, a well placed shot works wonderfully. I have also used my .308 and .300 blackout.

One of the great things about hunting hogs, is that when you know how and where to hunt them you end up killing allot of pigs with allot of different weapons. At least this has been my expirience. It's always a chore to decide what weapon finally ends up smoking the pork. So tell us, what's your favorite hog hunting weapon ? Pick a pistol and a rifle.

And for the hell of it, let us know "all" the weapons you've put them down with! I know there's some hog slayers on here, let's hear it!!


My pistol choice would be my Glock 20 10mm loaded with 200 grain HP's. Rifle would be my Daniel Defense AR running a heavier hollow or soft point. I like to get as close as possible, open up with the G20 and end with the AR if I can. Love it!! And the BBQ when it's all said and done is hard to beat!
