What's your gun owner approach? Only own what you shoot? The more, the better?

I'm not wealthy by *ANY* means, but I'm at the point in life that I can rub a few coins together in my pocket. For the past few years, I've been picking up a gun here, a gun there. Find a deal on one, get a fancy for one, pick it up.

But now I'm starting to think, if you don't carry something, or if you don't go shoot it on a fairly regular basis, what's the point of having it? It's just a safe queen, a high dollar paper weight.

So, what's your approach to gun ownership? Bare bones, just keep what I use, or the more, the merrier?

I have no approach. I buy what peaks my interest. Many times I will sell something I have lost interest in so as to obtain something new I am wanting.

IF you buy quality firearms and not just firearms, and are patient to find the right deal, how do you lose whether you shoot it or not? They are easy to liquidate if something comes up and a joy to own otherwise. You break even or come out better with time.

Now if you buy crap, or even lower end firearms that perform but just have no resale value historically, you dont need more than you carry/shoot on a regular basis for sure. You'll lose $$ most of the time.

My problem is that I haven't lost enough interest in any of mine to do the sell/trade thing. Maybe one day.

always shoot whatever i get. for me, theres no point in owning a gun i dont intend to shoot. i am by no means wealthy enough to have a collection lol. usually my stable consists of a deer rifle, critter gitter (.22 lol), shotty, and my carry peice. find thats all i need / can afford lol.

working on saving money for something else though (fun gun/trade fodder lol), as to what i have right now i dont think i would ever want to sell/trade it off. love my current guns to much (except my .22....need to upgrade my critter gitter lol)

I'd have to agree with this...
