Which Colt AR model?

I turned down an amazing deal on a LE 6920 last week simply because of the roll Mark, I wanted one like I had before with the law enforcement/military/ export use only stamp on it. His was the stand M4 Carbine roll mark. Yeah I know it's stupid, but when you want what you want settling for something that almost like it will never make you happy in the end. So I understand his want of a specific roll Mark. And on that token my bushmaster xm15 shot way better than my factory colt did at almost 500 cheaper, but I still wanted that pony., wish I had never sold my girl.

No, they are essentially the same gun, with a different barrel and the rail. Maybe I'm out of the loop, but when the socom was originally introduced, it came with the heavy socom profile barrel and a KAC rail. Have they changed the configuration?

Right. Thats what I said. We're on the same page. LOL!

Well Colt doesn't make the SOCOM model anymore. So its a little hard to find. In 2013 they did change the configuration, they got rid of the KAC rail and put Troy rails on there. Think that was around the same time they stop putting the carry handles on the regular LE6920s.

That thing is beautiful. What length barrel is that?

Sorry, I got confused. If the one at Bullseye has the KAC rail, I'd say get it at that price. Unless you're rethinking what you really want.

Looks like it was there yesterday!
Grew up with the family/used to work there/still do contract-based armoring work for their customers.

Anyway, yes, it's still there and is $949, unfired (that means traded in by a customer so they can't sell it as new, but seller and condition seem to indicate unfired; at least since the factory). I told the owner to see what jackwagon gave you bad info on the phone and fire him (kidding, sort of).

I've been eyeing the Colt OEM rifle myself. I know "a lower is a lower" but roll marks do matter when it comes to resell.

I don't see Colts getting much cheaper than the OEM is now. Especially as we get closer to elections and idiot politicians start making big promises about gun control.

No I definitely will at that price. Its worth the trip out there IF they have it.

Hey man I got what you want! Cheaper, closer and guaranteed new. 16" and 14.5". 850.00 on the 16" and 900.00 on the 14.5" because it has the KAC NT4 flash hider as well. Didn't know if you noticed my post yesterday. I also have listed a lightly used factory SOCOM 14.5 for 550.00 complete jfyi. If you want to step it up I've decided to let go of my new Colt SOCOM 14.5" block II upper. It has a KAC flash hider but I'm including a hard to find new surefire 4 prong flash hider as an option. I'm a self proclaimed Colt junkie so if anyone is interested in these shoot me a PM.

Just to specify the only difference between the commercial 16" and the 14.5" is the 14.5 has the notches cut in the barrel to accept the grenade launcher which the 16" does not and the matech sight is laser etched on the commercial guns which they aren't on the 14.5"

Yea I'm really thinking I'm going to be ordering one soon. I dont plan on reselling anything but you never know. I actually didnt know there was a different in the rollmarks but a lot of the post I read on ARFCOM says that the M4A1 is more desirable and I'm a sucker for being more desirable.

Just go to Bullseye already! :boink:
