4 million (stolen) divided by 1500 price of gold an ounce (rounded to make it easy) divided by 16 (ounces in a pound)

Is that about right? If so, they didn't need a van to carry it.

gold is weighed in troy ounces, so its 31.1 Grams per ounce (and the spot price is closer to 1200 per troy ounce (rounded down))

so 4000000/1200=3333.33 troy ounces of gold. 3333.33 x 31.1 grams =103666.67 grams

there are 28 (i think its actually 28.5 but whatever) grams in an ounce so 103666.67/28=3702.38 ounces

3702.38/16= 231.4 pounds

still not unmanageable for two dudes
