375h&h doesn’t “destroy all the meat” like some neck beards say. You literally may lose .3-.5lbs more of meat if anything lol. My god if your that worried about that amount of meat maybe you should be working a job rather than hunting.

Correct. Also, the bullet does not even expand on impact with a deer, as it is designed to penetrate a much more thick/sense hide of bigger game animals and expand upon impact.

Last 3 deer I killed when I lived in GA was with a Handi-Rifle 45-70. 405gr Lee RNFP cast bullet (from Wheel Weights), no gas check over 15-16gr Unique. Hits like a bolt of lightning and kicks like a 20ga birdload.

I switched a CVA single shot in 45/70 last year and absolutely love it. It doesn’t destroy the meat like a regular rifle does. I’ve never had to tracks deer. They drop in there tracks. I shoot 325g Hornady. It has become my go to rifle now. Zeroed at 100yrds I shot 5.5” high at 200yrds.

Finally got to take a deer yesterday with it. I settled on a 300gr Speer JHP and 47gr of Reloader 7. 1700fps out of a 16” barrel

Seriously? You guys are hunting white tail with a 375 Holland and Holland? I mean, do what you want but that seems like using a howitzer to breach balsa wood.
