Who is running a red dot on their LEVER ACTION RIFLE

I’ve thought about it but would you need to have the receiver milled or is there a mount that you can buy (1895)?

Plenty of mounts available for the 1895

Ive got one on my Marlin 336 and I love it !

If throwing just a red dot on there, you are perfectly fine to mount it on that rail you already have

with the limited effective distance of a 30-30 and the fact that I hunt in the woods a lot neck shots are no problem

Vortex red dot and at 25 yards free hand I'm keeping them inside a baseball. Henry 44mag.

A 1x RDS works great for the majority of lever action carbine/rifle cartridges. I'm not currently running one, but I've run one quite a bit over the years.

What picatiny mounts are yall using?

I am looking at a Phoenix rds mount.
Lower to the barrel.
There is another one that i ran across that i havent stumbled across again yet

Yep....and love every shot. I literally mounted the Burris and it was dialed in at 50 yards. No adjustments needed.
