Whole house water filtration system recommendations? House is on city water.

I work in it daily?
The stuff you're reading is the same **** posted by the current administration...
I'll even go one farther and say, bring your filtered or bottled water and let's test it?
Out of all the water I've tested so far, the Sam's club water is better than any other bought water. It has a 7.0 pH, 8-9 alkalinity, no floride or chlorine residuals.

Without naming company names what industry you in? I’m in spring bottle water now. I was previously influent and effluent treatment in the paper industry.

Really interesting stuff. People take water for granted, which is really stupid.

I work at a drinking water treatment plant.
Got my first license in 1995.

Nah, I ain't buying that. The stuff you described is a byproduct of the chicken and meat being consumed. The waste as you're describing is treated and tested before going back to nature and it's heavily regulated.
Just like the lead in the water in Flint, Mi. You can't trust the government to give you clean water or anything else.

Aquafina is the best widely available bottled water.

I got a free water testing kit at Home Depot several years ago which in turn went through Rainsoft. They sent a guy out to the house to give you the sales pitch on the system. I got quite an education on water and how much chlorine is in that city water that day. Our tapwater basically had more chlorine than a swimming pool should have! When you sit there and watch him filter the water through the Rainsoft system then compare it to the tap water ,it's really a no brainer if you care about what you're putting in your body. Not to mention the wear and tear on appliances such as washing machine and water heaters.

My father and I developed & perfected that RainSoft sales pitch back in the early 90's.

The problem with RainSoft and other brand name franchises is that the customer is held hostage by the company when it comes to acquiring repair parts and replacement filters, and they tell you their warranty if you let anyone else work on their branded systems. I don't recommend dealing with the big brand name franchises.

Well ,It was a good sales pitch because it made a believer out of me. LOL
So far, we've had no trouble with Rainsoft. We call them out once a year for maintenance and that thing just keeps on working like it's supposed to. Makes you really notice the difference when you travel and have to put up with unfiltered water though. Lol

Chlorine residuals for public drinking water is 2 ppm. By law if you are servicing the public you have to be PWS certified and administer chlorine between .2 to 4 mg/L.

Chlorine is a safety net to kill any residual viruses, bacteria, or parasites. You have to have a certified PWS operator who services the specific system they are licensed on check the system 7 days a week. There are usually annual county and state inspections and quarterly sampling.

There’s a system in place to protect the public. I get it if you don’t want to drink it but it’s safe. The best thing to use to filter everything out is a carbon filter. Or just buy bottle water…shameless plug.
