Depends on the time of year and what "level" of hotel you want

Rail is the way to go if you are hitting multiple countries on the cheap

Been years since I was stationed there. How you do it depends on how long you will be in country, how long in each place, where you want to go etc.

Yep, been there, done alot of beer drinking in Rhein Main and Frankfort. Could not believe how fast they traveled on the autobahn's. Good times for sure.

LOL. yeah. Easy to drink a lot in Germany. I was stationed just south of Mainz. Rheinland area is big for wine. Great parties...awful hangovers. Super food in Germany too.

Oh man! I used to love the Schnell Imbiss! Grab ein bratwurst mit pommes und ein bier and sit down by the river watching the Germans have heat strokes in the 75 degree summer. LOL!

Oh and that HARD German brotchen. Bout pull teeth trying to tear the things.
