Why Are Guys Buying 10 Rd AK, AR And Pistol Mags?

I am sure there are plenty who think the sky is falling and they are going to have to get rid of their 30 rounders.

Now I understand the trade only ads of 30rnd for 10rnd mags.

That sounds like a good idea and I will do the same. I am going to start trading all of my 30rnd mags now. Being prepared is just smart and I plan to absolutely comply with every letter of any new laws or regulations.

That is one thing I was thinking when I saw so many of the 10 rounders out of stock. Has the US become California already?
No, but plenty of people who don't understand how laws are passed through the legislative process are convinced that black guns are going to be banned and all "high capacity mags" will too. When I joined the Army in 76 they only had 20 round mags. It was a year or two later when they issued the 30s. I know that some folks are buying 10 round pistol mags because the higher capacity are not available. I have had to order some for people.

They have always been spotty as far as availability. Took me several months to find what I wanted 3 years ago.

I like them for carrying different loads for the rifle, hunting, target, varmint, etc.
I do not need to have 30 rounds of beaver loads.

I think it is more evidence of the "panic" culture we seem to have evolved to. Pandemic - buy up all the TP because the trees are going to stop growing. Buy up all the milk because they are killing off the dairy cows.

Just more signs of the neckbeards trying to hedge the next panic - no chance any one is going to require 30 rounders by law, so what is the next possible artificial shortage? Going to be like steel cased .223 in 4 years, going for a dime on today's dollar. There is no limited supply of an essential item. May be a short term shortage, but nothing more.
