Why I don't buy knives on the ODT

There are some very sharp accusations being thrown around in this thread. I wish y'all would clean the edges a bit and sharpen the tone so we can fully understand the penitratration of what has transpired when being stuck with a counterfeit blade.

Are esee or mora blades some to look out for?
Esse has a TON of fakes out there especially the little Izula. With Moras being so cheap I would hope their aren't to many fakes but I'm sure there are

I stake my reputation on every knife sell. Obviously there is a huge difference in knife quality from brand to brand. I've sold knives from Case($10) to Kershaw ($35-$100) to "High End" Marfione Customs. And I sleep great at night knowing that I've given someone exactly what they wanted and probably made them one of the best deals out there on that particular knife. It doesn't hurt to do a little fact checking on a "high end" knife or the person selling it.
I hate seeing people getting taken advantage of specially when it's so easy to just do the right thing.
I defend my "Authorized Dealer" status tooth and nail and I wear it like a battle scar. Not saying there is a ton of non legitimate people on here looking to take advantage of you, but sometimes it pays to buy from a dealer.. Specially one that works his ass off to bring in the baddest blades on earth straight to the ODT..

100% LEGIT right here^^^^^^^, got my first ever Kershaw Launch 3 from @DEVEST8R with a little help from @SafeCracka. It's in my pocket right now, this thing is SCARY freakin' sharp and for the price it's THE BEST side opening auto knife I've ever owned. I traded a Mini Infidel for a MT Ultratech with @no clever name at the last M&G, these are the only ODT members I've dealt with as far as knives go and I couldn't be happier with both deals. I'd deal with these three guys any time with no worries at all.

I simply CANNOT ever see myself spending gun-money on knives. They're waaaay overpriced and over inflated.

I said the same thing but ended up getting a nice little collection without breaking the bank.

I sold a Hinderer XM18 Skinner mint for $285... sold within 2 min of posting on a popular knife sight. It was at that very moment I knew I priced it too low lmao!

you'd be surprised in the quality you can get from the more expensive knives. one thing to remember and ask yourself is, between the gun and the knife. which are you going to end up using more often?

Please, by all means let me know what some great knives are at decent prices.

I feel your pain. Bought one about a year ago that was a fake. When I advised the seller, he acted like he did not know. He got it from a "friend" needing money.
Good reason to hit the Blade Show in about 3 wks
