Why I'm over Ar15s and all the hype.

I wished they put better stocks on the AR's, it's hard to beat an Enemy to death with that cheap plastic, but, ah, to butt stroke with a Garand.:thumb:
You can do it. It just takes a little more effort.

All poodle-shooter jokes aside, I took my raffle AR that I won on ODT to the CMP range on the last visit.

First couple of rounds were for windage but I was pretty happy with the accuracy with WPA steel ammo.

And I mean pleasantly surprised with irons...

I'll take 10's and X's all day long with steel ammo at 100yds.

I attribute it to the low recoil that most women prefer...

Wait, I mean, uh...

C'mon, who doesn't like an AR? It's like shooting an m1 carbine. But with extra umpffh!

I had an ar15 when I was in high school like most people I decked it out and threw as much stuff on it as I could. Yeah I shot it a bunch but overall it never really impressed me and after dealing with army M16s I got rid of it I was over the platform and all the hype it had. It's no doubt a good and accurate rifle but like a baker around bread we spent so much time together I was done. Anyone else had some similar expirence?

According to your profile you're 19. How do you go from having an AR15 in high school to dealing with Army M16's when you've had at most two years to be in the Army?

The AR is an amazing platform. I don't even know how many AR's I have, but I like them all. While I love me some good old wood and steel, the AR is just a better system.

Iron sights at 200 yards w/ AR-47.
