WHY !!!! ??????

Every law enforcement officer owes his safety to past encounters. We learn from the experience of others that have come before us. Sometimes we learn from the scum that are constantly striving to hurt society. Sometimes we learn from our mistakes.
AFTER we learn what ACTUALLY happened, we will learn from this incident. Trooper Leroy's memory will be forever be honored.

Whether TPl. Lecroy made ANY mistakes is completely irrelevant. THE ONLY PERSON RESPONSIBLE IS THE PERSON WHO SHOT TROOPER LECROY.

On a totally unsolicited side note: While we don't all ways recruit the most desirable of people to serve in the ranks we work hard to "weed out the chaff" through the screening process and on going through a career. One thing we look for is human decency especially in light of a tragedy. Easy to see why some never make it...

Well said.

I appears maybe he didn't follow felony stop protocol after a high speed chase. I sure don't think that is tarnishing a man's name. That doesn't mean it's his fault some scumbag took his life. It's critically looking a **** situation that should NOT have occured. A good man is dead. I would venture to say that even he would want to look at the situation and see if anything could be improved upon in similar situations in the future.

You may be right but until we have some idea what happened then none of us can second guess his actions. Even if the dash cam footage is released we should all remember that we cannot see anything but the narrow picture.
This POS had recently made bond on violent felony charges. Could Trooper LeCroy have known something we do not? Possibly innocents nearby? We do not know, and will never know completely what happened. But I can assure everyone on this board it was not any lack of training.

If you have an unpaid ticket you go to JAIL...If your a convicted felon you get a free PASS. I guess they are making it easy for the criminals and harder for law abiding citizens. GA needs to change some laws and change some judges!!!

For people like this scumbag...they ought to bring this out of retirement:

Yeah...that's Old Sparky from Reidsville...

from the Article posted by Jeepinshep, "The names of the judges who signed the orders granting Favors' bond were not legible on documents".

Does this seem odd to anyone else? There are only so many judges that could have seen the case, why the drama, plausible deniability? C'mon be a man and man-up to it. Or should we just fire the lot and start over?
