First time shooting anything with any amount of recoil. My old nef 20 gauge ive had since i was 14. Shot my stepdads mossberg 12 gauge pump, (not sure of mod, has mossberg speed feed stock w 8+1 tube. Needless to say, end of this month I'll probably wind up buying her one when I find out what it is, she wants one.

I understand all too well. I traded for a bull barrel 10/22 and my wife says it's hers. What do you do?

Honestly she didn't care much for the 15-22, or my ar 15, but when she felt the rush from a 12 gauge, she made it known that she wanted one. I blame my stepdad. She took my daughter into my parents bedroom to use the bathroom and seen it and was telling me how bad ass it looked and how bad she wants it. My stepdad heard this and asked If we wanted to shoot it. Afterwards I told him he's gonna cost me money. But, if my wife feels comfortable with a mossberg 12 gauge, reason enough for me to get her one.

Funny, my wife is heading the same direction with pistols. While she had previously shot my G17, 19, 20 & 21, when it came time for her EDC, she went with a PX4 storm SC.

Several months later (yesterday, as a matter of fact) we're at the range and she tells me she shoots better with my full size 1911 and is now thinking about switching.

I sucked with my kimber (god damn Glocks) but the 45 is the sexiest round to shoot, and the 1911 platform is the most fun to shoot it our of. To me there's very little difference in 45 and 9mm, except 45 has more push.

The little NEF with little to no recoil pad and solid action can thump a bit, even more so if not solidly locked in that shoulder. She appears to enjoyed it "Oooooooooooooooooohhh" LOL!

Yep a whole lot of hurt comes out the big hole of a scattergun. Shredding targets with a scattergun on the range tickles me in an evil sort of way that it really shouldn't. I'm sure she gets it too.
