Wilson Shock Buffer for my Colt?

I’m looking at loading for fairly hot rounds for my Colt Gold Cup National Match, and my RIA 10mm. Would it be a good idea to drop in a Wilson Shock Buffer to protect the frame? I’m looking at pushing a .45acp 200gr hardcast semiwadcutter at close to 1200fps out of the Colt.

Plus. Youll be able to see why by the damage to the buffer

I run them, but only in 5" guns. They help a LOT when I shoot HOT 38 Super.

I’m not going to run a lot of the hot rounds, but it’s fun to run hot rounds from time to time.

They are cheap enough I run them. I use to run 185 grn plus p through my 1911, so I tend to use them.

The newer ones don't last as long as the older ones use to.
