2 hives that are typically split, sold or given to friends to propagate when they get too full of bees.

I have 3 hives. 9 Frame mediums. When the girls are buzzing along at the end of a season I can typically get 9-20lbs of honey which is plenty. There is more to it then most realize. Costs are crazy. Skip the box bees and focus on getting a genetically modified queen. Dream about making sugar water. Tools, spinner, bee suit blah blah blah.... It's fun if you really are a patient person.
