Worst most unreliable POS firearms you have ever owned. And what you do with them.

Only thing worse than a tec 22 is a tec 9 so I hear. The original ghetto blaster. Thugs love them and so do cops because they know the bad guy is only going to get to shoot once.

Tec 9s arent so bad. Its like any gun, right mags, and right ammo, and she'll run all day. Non-OEM mag or crappy reloads, plan on spending some time removing jams.

Tec22... its a semi auto 22... Its going to jam. I have had a tec 22, 10/22, beretta neos, GSG5, and a few others. Beretta was the only one of them that would reliably fire anything I fed it. 10/22 is for the most part stock but only likes only a few different mags/ammos, tec22 reliability isnt that much different. GSG I have is just worn out, and is less reliable now that I "fixed" all the problems with missing/loose hardware. I keep it to tinker with in hopes that one day it will eat a full mag of mini mags without a hiccup.

My buddy has a sub2k, and I have seen him put thousands of rounds threw with no issues.

I had an old garage built 1911 and at another point an old Winchester (?) Bolt 22 and neither would work. I pulverized both with a heavy sledge hammer and threw them away in separate bags. It was a great time.

I also bought a Speedmaster and a S&W 36 from well respected members of this board. I didn't fire them for a few months. Both were broken. Both members had to know they were selling me broken guns. I put both on my ignore list. The 36 required two trips to two separate gunsmiths to fix. I shot 50 rounds thru it and told the person I sold it to the story and sold it cheap. It worked great. The Speedmaster went to the gunsmith, still jammed, went back. I sold it for $150 with the story. I paid 375 for it and likely another $75 to the smith.

ODT members that knowingly sell a broken gun is an entirely different problem. I got one so bad you could not even load it, and it was missing 4 internal parts. We really need a hall of shame for "members" who do this.

Keltec PF9. Damn thing would go through a whole mag no matter what I did.

Sounds like we have some real losers on here. Never had one problem with any even had a Tec 22 and once I found what ammo it liked I shot 1000's of rounds.

It is a tossup between a Marlin 60 and a Mini 14.

The marlin was accurate, but a total jamm-o-matic. Sold it for 20 bucks.

The mini cycled fine, but a 12 gauge shoots tighter groups with bird shot. Traded that POS for a saddle.

That's the Marlin with the squirrel on the stock,right? After 5000 stove pipes , I ram it in a knothole on a tree and shot squirrels off of it with a 10/22.

You and Jeep really prove that there are some bad guns out there of every kind.

I've never known a Marlin model 60 that had a problem.
I work at a range, everybody has one and they're shot all the time.

Would have bet that they were one of the most reliable .22 rifles ever made.
Now I guess, sometime a gun comes off the line and it's just sick!
Kind of like CBH13's "cursed" sub2k.....

Sig mosquito! I know it is going to malfunction, so i use it for clearing malfunction practice.

Hmm, mine has not malfunctioned yet in 500 rounds. Got it new, took it home and cleaned all of the packing oil from it first as suggested by the manufacturer. But then again, I do use only the manufacturers recommended ammo in it. Taught my Granddaughter how to shoot pistols with it and she had no malfunctions with it either. Guess I may have just gotten a good one or did what the manufacturer suggests for it to function properly.

thinking back, I think I have only had two that I regretted buying.
One was a SCCY CPX Gen1, 9mm that I kept flipping the manual safety on whenever I shot it. manufacturers suggested fix was to glue the safety in the off position. Next generation (CPX, Gen2) came out without a manual safety. Still won't buy another.

Second was a Diamondback DB-380. Ate round nosed .380 just fine but not the flat nosed ammo or hollow points. think I sold it cheap with full disclosure and all the 'round nosed .380' ammo I had left.

I ended up getting a 10-22 for bushytails. Best move ever.
