m$1000 starting? Really? I had a 1911 as a sidearm in the Navy, even if these were Navy guns (I understand they are from the Army) with all nostalgia behind I still would be hard pressed to pay $1000.

It isn't like these things are military toilet seats or hammers!

I think if you go to the CMP facility in Anniston you could pick out which one you want. But I bet you still might not want them. The ones I used in the Navy in the early 80's were well used. AKA beat all to hell. lol
