Would you rather have 5 shots or 16 shots?

5 rounds of 357 magnum vs 15 rounds of 9mm?

Regardless of how badass 357 magnum is, you only have 5 rounds... I've got 16 rounds ready to go and in a manner of seconds another 15.

Still need the 357? :D

Hope nothing bad happens man, be prepared.

Back when I was a "workin" man I carried 15 round semi auto AND a 5 round Mod 60 for back up ...2 xtra mags and 1 speed loader.

It only takes one well placed shot!

Bull****.

All handgun rounds are notoriously bad at stopping people.

I carry a Glock 17.

If I were going into a situation where I knew there was a higher than average chance something may happen, I would absolutely go with the gun with more bullets. Even more so because the guy is probably on drugs. I would probably have the AR close by as well.

Retired home inspector from Dekalb County and seen this almost everyday. Folks that steal them watch for moving vans and then show up a day or so later and do there dirty deed. Also seen tenants take 2x4 and jab holes in walls and ceilings just for the pure joy. Park a old car in drive way and leave a light on when not there. As far as what you need to carry, the sound of a pump shotgun being cocked would scare hell out of me.......just sayin.
Good luck my friend.

Carry both, and have a shotgun or rifle with you and where you can get to it. You are not looking for trouble, you are taking care of your property. Makes sense, given the information you have given us, to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. I agree with letting someone know where you are and it would not hurt to have someone call you at a set time or times. You have but one life, take care of it.

Haven't seen anyone mention yet but if you fear for your safety, bring a friend or two. Two dudes with two guns is better than one guy with three guns in the car.
