NO where in his post did he say he is looking for any trouble. He said he is trying to ready HIS property for re-renting. It IS, after all HIS property. But you seem to suggest that he sit back, lose money and allow the criminal to prevent him from attempting to use his rightful property to earn a living while waiting for said criminal to make anappeaarance so that he can be arrested. What a funny persepective you have on things. He is NOT asking about which weapon to use to "deal with this menace". To answer your question, If I could just carry one, I'd carry the one I had the most confidence would go 'boom!' each and every time I pulled the trigger and if it didn't go boom on a particular trigger pull, it definitely would the next time I pulled the trigger.

It's well known fact that most TRAINED police officers only hit their target 20% of the time in a shootout.... so is it not reasonable to expect that a civilian who usually doesn't train that much will not do any better?

While a well trained revolver man can be a formidable adversary I belive it may have been Erik Lund who said that after a fight no one has ever wished for a smaller gun or less ammo... or something to that effect.

And while irresponsibly blasting "suppressing fire" downrange is not the right solution either I tell our students that if a "fight for their life" happens it probably won't be in the time, place, or manner that they expected so cultivate a warrior's mindset & train, train, train... your mind & your body.

And you are suggesting he cower and wait for the guy to be arrested rather than exercise his RIGHT to access and restore HIS OWN PROPERTY. When I used the word funny, believe me I did not mean in any way humorous. The position of your posts, as I read it is actually pretty sad and pathetic.

If the OP said he was looking for advice on which gun to go hunt the guy down with? SURE. But he wants to feel as safe as he can while working to restore his own property and you think there's something wrong with that? Whew!
