Now I'm going to have to get one out of the safe and cycle it that way. Wonder if it makes the bolt easier to cycle.

It does but I wonder if thats the instructed way to shoot them, or maybe just from prone?

I know you can pull the ring on the swiss rifles for a second strike on the primer, I guess you can with a mosin too, just never thought about it. Need to cycle a swiss rifle by first pulling the firing pin back, see if it cycles easier as well.
