Xds 45 Or a Taurus pt1911

Ok so I want to get my first 45 and I've found an xds and a pt1911 for around the same price and would like some opinions. I carry g23 and am happy with it as an edc, so lets here it

Don't know much about the Taurus but I love my XDs. I think the XDs might be easier to sell should you get in a bind for some cash or something else you want later down the road. Just my $.02.

Love my XDS. I haven't fired the PT 1911 though so I can't directly compare.

And it's a 1911 so it's already a + there lol

It's also odd to be comparing a full sized 1911 with a sub compact
The pt1911 will have less recoil due to I being a full size compared to the sub compact xds

I do want a xds tho lol

Get the Springfield. In my experience Taurus handguns are garbage and I will never own another one. Ever.

I have the PT1911 and love shooting it. I definitely have the XDS on my short-list of guns I want, but as someone else said - you've really got apples and oranges here! If you're just looking for the ".45ACP Experience" it's hard to go wrong with a 1911 though. But I will say that the PT1911 is one of the only Taurus pistols I like. Springfield has a better reputation - especially around here.

i disagree in a few instances. the PT1911 is one and the TCP over the LCP is the other (trigger and sights on the latter).
