Local gunsmith said it's going to be 2 more weeks...He's just putting a new front, and one of my rear sights on it and duracoating it Stainless. 5 weeks? I think he dropped the ball, and will not be doing anymore work on my stuff.

Would you believe I STILL don't have my slide back? I'm passed pissed now...
need some sandbags to pound to help take some of that edge off.
I'm good...I have completely lost interest in this project at this time. It's been near 2 months since I've seen my slide....

I put my Kimber conversion on the frame...
I got my slide back today. I am very pissed. He's had it for over 2 months. When I saw it, I lost my composure. It was supposed to be Stainless silver. He did it black. He also got the front sight off center, and I have NO idea how he did that. This guy is supposed to be a 1911 guru of a gunsmith. I don't know what I should do. I told him he messed up, and I paid him a reduced price that he asked for, but that was before I noticed the front sight being left of center on the slide. The way I see it, I'm out 85 bucks for a bad job and now I'm going to have to pay Bryan Dobbs and his people to fix it. I should have taken it to Bryan first.

Holy crap....that's insane. I'm very sorry to see that....how could he have done that to the front sight?!?!
