Yhm qd mount question

When using a yhm qd mount should there be any play when threading the can to the qd mount? It has ever so minimal amount of play.

It has play while threading it on or when it is installed and "locked up"?

When locked up. Like I can get it to where there is no movement but if I barely twist it it has the most ever so slightly amount of play.

That doesn't sound right. It should have no play when fully seated.

Ok, so when I twist it all the way there is no play. But it takes very little effort to get it to move when taking it off. Does that make sense?

I was hesitant at first but I've shot a mag through it with no issues. I am going to use it in a class this weekend, so we'll see how it holds up.

Used it in a basic carbine course today and I thinknit did pretty darn well. I had two rounds keyhole out of 350ish but I'm not sure I can 100 percent say it was the qd's fault. Rather I think it was the federal 55 grain not stabilizing in my Sbr.
