The old saying "the more you know, the less you carry" is very true. Our gear should be to make jobs easier or as a supplement

sadly he didn't make more videos after. He got more of marketing videos.
Valid points. If one is able to make it with near nothing, anything extra is just cushion. When it comes down to it, it's the knowledge that's most valuable. For example, knowing how to make cordage is more important than carrying cordage.
