Do they use this as a recruiting tool, or is it just for fun?
I believe it's a bit of both. I didn't see any recruiters walking around chasing anyone. LOL
From what I understood it's more of a "Look what you could do if you joined" type of thing. Works pretty good though... If my son had been old enough he would have joined. He wanted to join the ARMY for the next couple of years.

Sadly my schedule won't allow me to go on a Thursday. If any of you have any specific questions I might can help as well, my friends husband was in the unit that did this every year. She said she went to most of them and they were really fun.
. I would love to go. I think it will be worth taking the day off work for. Maybe we can get an east side car pool going.
