YOU can fire the big guns (FREE)

Just wanted to share with the community that Ft. Benning will host a Hands On Training Exercise (HOTEX) where civilians can come on post and take a turn at firing a M2 50 cal, a Barret, maybe even a mark 19 or a Bradley main gun.
Scheduled for April 19,2012 at RED CLOUD range located on Dixie Road (185 S go onto post and keep going straight till you see the range on your L side) They usually get things running at 3pm.
Rumor has it that this will be the LAST time civilians will be permitted to take part in this.
If any of ya'll are interested I will search out more details and post them.

This event used to be every first Thursday of the month, but from with all the budget cut whining going on it looks like this will be the last time the event is held.

well you have to get the serious and dangerous stuff out of the way before High Holy Stoner day (4/20), not to mention Hitler's Bday, etc. Whoever thought picking that date as the national day to smoke pot was a good idea must've been high!
