I dont want opinions.

I want experiences ,good or bad.

Ive got a newer Bainbridge ,Ga marked one thats been a pleasure ;)
Ive put just under 3 boxes of ammo through it and it has been gr8.
Im shooting mostly my own 38+p reloads.

It was tough to load at first, but shortening the magazine spring and taking the sharp edges off the loading gate surfaces have solved that issue.

Edit. Traded into one in 44 as well .

Cimarron 1873 Carbine, 20" bbl:

Unique, 6.5 grs., CCI-300- 1069 fps
Unique, 7.0 grs., CCI-300- 1119 fps
Unique, 7.5 grs., CCI-300- 1150 fps (Skeeter Skelton load)

I’ve owned one in .45 Colt since the late 90’s. Blued, before they put a safety on them. It‘s my Cowboy Action carbine, and quite a few of my students have shot it as well. Love that gun.

Had two. One in .44 mag. that was a hog killer for sure. One in .357/.38 that was a great shooter but saw little use other than a plinker. Both became redundant and replaced by Marlins. Not that they were inferior guns, I was just gun poor at the time and something had to go. Wouldn't be sad to purchase either again.

I've got a 16" version that is a lot of fun to shoot. I put a red dot on mine to try and may even take it deer hunting with 357 158gr HP ammo. Love the top.eject and seeing how high the casings go.
