If you shop right you can find them for about $20. Even still, in the long run it's not that bad.

And magazines are relatively cheap. At least it's not HK mags that are $50-75 a piece.

I put oem mag springs and followers in a couple of my KCI 19 mags...never had a problem, on the ones I have that I didn't put springs on, I'd occasionally get feeding problems, so whatever that is worth
