This was a rust bucket when i got my hands on it. It got the beadblast treatment and the barrel repainted. I restained the wood in carbon grey and added the side saddle. Pretty sure this has been in an 870 thread...

I had another stock on her but I like the "been there, done that" look so I just cleaned up the origninal one a little and used that instead. Great shooter......

NICE work.
I inherited my Dad’s old Marlin .22 many years ago with a broken stock, scope, and trigger group. I got to missing him really bad last year so I decided to rebuild her into a shooter. I modified a model 60 stock to fit and the scope was toast but I found a similar one from that time period.

I miss finding rifles still packed in cosmoline. It was a lot of fun cleaning them up.
